System and Network Optimization for Wireless

Åre, Sweden, 2 - 4 April 2014


The Fifth Nordic Workshop on System and Network Optimization for Wireless will take place at the Swedish ski resort of Åre in Jämtland. Having hosted the Alpine World Championships in 1954 and 2007 and with more than 30 modern ski-lifts the Åre Ski Area is the major center for alpine skiing in Sweden.

The workshop venue, the Copperhill Mountain Lodge Hotel Åre, on the top of the Förberget Mountain opened in 2008, is the only mountain hotel in Scandinavia referred to as a Design Hotel, and is directly connected to the Åre ski area with its own platter lift, the Copperhill Express.

A limited number of single, double rooms and apartments have been block booked. Please note that due to the high demand participants must arrange their registration before the 10th of January 2014


The nearest airports, the Åre Östersund airport and the Værnes Trondheim airport, have scheduled flights from Stockholm's Arlanda airport and the Oslo's Gardermoen airport, seasonal and charter flights are also available. The Åre railway station is connected with direct trains to Stockholm as well.
